It took Novak Djokovic
over two 2 sets to get hold of Kevin Anderson's serving missiles as both first
two sets were won by Anderson in tie-break. It just seemed impossible for
anyone to break Kevin until 3rd set and 4th Novak finally found the answer. And as the match seemed to have definitely bounced
back to Djokovic, the dark fell on Wimbledon and the game was postponed for
another day.
Another day on Wimbledon
started two players where they started their game a day before, with powerful
serves winning 10 of first 12 points.
And it was obvious that the advantage and momentum Djokovic created the
day before have all disappeared and that the game was right where it
started. Except, the fifth set in Wimbledon
cannot be won in a tie-break, so we were all set to watch some monumental
continuation that some hoped would go for who knows how long. But nothing of that happened as Nole took
Anderson’s 6th game and drove it home for 7:5 win in the last
set.
The match in all was certainly a demonstration of power servers that dominated the whole 5 sets, but it was not enough for Anderson’s 30+ aces to give him a win.
